Position Description: In the project, students will learn to model the geochemistry of mantle melting and crystallization. The fundamental knowledge and existing models will be introduced. Students will help build a model for periodically replenished magma chamber using the available python code. Students will also help develop a graphical user interface for the available mantle melting and crystallization program. Most of the python codes for this project are already created and students will be guided to build on them.
