Cary Lee Peterson is an American lobbyist, international solicitor, political figure, and retired judicial officer. He is the second person of the Islamic faith to serve as a judge in any court within the California territory, as the first person appointed as Chief Justice of the Costanoan Tribal Court (Costanoan-Chualar Indian Tribal Government of Indian Canyon). Additionally, he served as a foreign service officer and specialist in Nigeria, Albania, and Haiti.
Early Life.
Peterson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and lived between Missouri, Iowa, Tennessee, Colorado, California, Texas, New York, Australia, Guam, and Arizona through his adulthood. He was raised by a single mother. In 1988, his mother married a man who worked for a quasi-governmental agency that constructed federally-regulated buildings. His mother and stepfather divorced in 1996.
Peterson met his paternal father at the age of 11. They maintained a relationship until Peterson's father died of pancreatic cancer in 2022.
From 1993 to 1994, Peterson was a member of a teenage duo-rap music band, 'Dubble Trubble' with Grammy Award-winning rapper and singer Lecrae Moore. The band dissolved after Peterson's and Moore's parents discovered that the music industry was causing street gang activity and failing grades at school.
From 1995 through 1996, Peterson attended the Denver Career Education Center Fred N. Thomas Career Education Center Early College. He studied audio engineering, and digital music composing, and attended ROTC.
Career History.
Peterson's first job was at a Safeway grocery store in Denver during a worker's strike in 1994.
In 1997, Peterson, a business partner, and a friend of Peterson's family started an independent music label in Minneapolis. In 1999, this music label and recording studio business dissolved after Peterson accepted a job working as a sales executive at the McClatchy Company in Minneapolis, in addition to serving as a marketing intern for a media distributor in New York. Peterson served as an A&R assistant and intern for various music labels between 1998 and 2001 while studying computer science as an undergraduate student in Minnesota. Additionally, in 2001-02, Peterson worked as an account executive at Conseco Finance Group.
In the summer of 2000, Peterson and his high school friend incorporated a printing company. This company printed media parts and promotional materials for internet service providers, concert promoters, and independent music labels. Around 2001, Peterson changed this company's business model as a media and paper parts printing company after getting involved with export-import trading of multimedia products manufactured in Asia and Eastern Europe. This company operated as an authorized reseller for Synnex, IBM, Sony Electronics, Daewoo, Jacobs Trading Company, and Nintaus Electronics between 2003 and 2007.
For a short period in 2003, Peterson worked as a film production director of a reality TV series called Club Live. This media production ended after four episodes being filmed due to Peterson's infant son passing away due to SIDS. In addition, from 2003 through 2008, Peterson served as a media sales representative at Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (former UniqueScreen Media).
Peterson served as a portfolio manager for investment firms in Canada, Australia, and the Middle East from 2008 through 2010. Additionally, in 2009, Peterson served as the chief board adviser to a publicly traded company, Alternative Energy Development Corporation (OTCB: ADEC). The company's fuel-saving technology was featured on Oprah.com. In 2010, this company was sued in the Arizona Superior Court by Peterson, patent developers, and Peterson's business associates after a complaint was filed by Peterson's attorney Warren Markowitz for a breach of contract for the licensing rights and royalties for a patented fuel-saving device for vehicles.
In 2010, Peterson co-founded ECCO2 (Environmental Control of Carbon Dioxide). This company was formed by Peterson, Peterson's close friend from the military, and a business associate from Australia. ECCO2 Corp operates as a green technology research organization in Australia and the United States. Peterson was featured in advertorials on the back cover of the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine in December 2010.
Twice in 2012, Peterson was interviewed by radio personality Doug Stephans on the Good Day Morning Radio Show to discuss ECCO2 Corp, and the organization's Green Jobs for Veterans Program (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB-mW0qjQMU&t=693s) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ghf9DPFbVQ).
From 2011 through 2016, Peterson served as an officer for U.N.-affiliate organizations in Nigeria, Albania, India, Haiti, Romania, Syria, Iraq, Jamaica, and Micronesia. During this time period, he studied international law, humanities, international diplomacy, and intergovernmental affairs in a post-graduate fellowship program at United Academy of Global Peace. In 2014, Peterson was awarded and honorary doctorate of international law, and in 2015, he received a doctorate of international law, international diplomacy, and humanities while completing fellowship program at UNAUGP in Albania.
Political History.
Between 2011 and the present, Peterson has been a registered lobbyist at the European Union Parliament (2012-18) and the United States Congress (2016-Present). His lobbying activities include international diplomacy with small island nations, veterans rights, minority rights, LBGTQ rights, cannabis legalization, intergovernmental affairs, disabled prisoner rights, voter rights, and human trafficking prevention.
In 2014, Peterson served as a council member, regional coordinator, and federal election candidate for the National Independent American Party. Peterson was removed from the party's executive council in an emergency vote after he launched a social media group, 'Bernie Sanders of President 2016.' Thereafter, Peterson registered a political action committee, the Independent National Party Alliance at the U.S. Federal Election Commission. In addition, in February 2015, Peterson registered another political action committee at FEC called 'Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016.' In May 2015, Senator Bernie Sanders (VT-I) announced his 2016 presidential bid, following Peterson's Pro-Sanders support organization publicizing a digital billboard promoting Senator Sanders in New York Times Square days prior.
Between 2018 and 2021, Peterson was a political prisoner due to a trial-by-ambush, wherewith he was convicted in a unilateral jury trial for false certification and securities fraud charges under 18 U.S.C. 1350, despite the Delaware Secretary of State declaring that at no time was Peterson a corporate officer, director, or agent for RVPlus Inc., as the criminal charges particularly alleged.
While Peterson was a political prisoner among a dozen federal institution over three years, he sued then-President Donald Trump, then-Attorney General William Barr, the Federal Election Commission a month before the 2016 general election (https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/update-on-president-trump-ag-barr-sued-for-vindictive-prosecution-against-black-politician-robert-peterson-fields-associates-1029683019). Moreover, a year earlier in 2019, Peterson sued Senator Bernie Sanders (VT-I) and Sanders's attorneys at Foster Garvey (formerly Garvey Schubert Barer), Seton Hall University, BAS Broadcasting Corporation, Huffington Post, Center for Public Integrity, and others involved in data breach of personal identifying information tied to a political libel and defamation campaign against Peterson (https://www.einpresswire.com/article/503866983/public-notice-civil-action-filed-for-data-breach-cary-lee-peterson-v-foster-garvey-p-c-et-al-d-c-cir_). This lawsuit followed an a favorable ruling Peterson received from Attorney General Barr in a DOJ appeal against the FBI for refusing to declassify Peterson's personal FOIA reports needed for his jury trial in New Jersey that was induced by the FBI's criminal complaint filed against him for securities fraud in 2016.
September 2016, Peterson interviewed with David De Livera's New World Order Politics (podcast) to discuss many of the political issues he had been facing since he got involved with the United Nations, foreign service, super PACs, Wall Street, political election campaigns, and publicly showing support for then-American presidential candidate Bernie Sanders https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/super-pac-man-cary-lee-peterson-tells-political-webcast-host-media-punks-were-hired-to-launch-attack-300332500.html) (https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/euro-podcast-airs-interview-update-with-super-pac-man-cary-peterson-about-going-green-596485111.html) .
Between 2020 and 2021, Peterson led a series of civil actions against the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the U.S. Department of Justice for disabled inmate abuse during the COVID pandemic (https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/coronavirus-prison-outbreak-in-seattle-fdc-black-hispanic-bop-inmates-exposed-to-spreading-in-general-population-1029581147).
On January 7, 2021, the United States Department of Justice filed a motion to the Supreme Court of the United States waiving the U.S. government's right to respond to Cary Peterson's allegations and claims raised them (Cary Lee Peterson v. United States, S.Ct. Dkt. No. 20-6707, December 2020). There was media exposure on this case due to mutilations of court documents found within the case docket (https://www.globenewswire.com/en/news-release/2021/03/04/2186790/0/en/Supreme-Court-Questioned-Black-Lives-Truly-Don-t-Matter-Chief-Justice-Balks-Due-Process-Rights-of-Black-Political-Prisoner-Robert-Peterson-Fields-Associates.html) (https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2021/03/02/2185777/0/en/Trump-d-Up-or-Truth-Will-DOJ-Supreme-Court-Leave-Postmaster-General-as-Fall-Guy-Asks-Robert-Peterson-Fields-Associates.html).
In September 2022, the California Department of Justice and the FBI united to launch an investigation and arrest on Peterson for serving a non-Indian trespasser with a Tribal court order and fining San Benito County for aiding and abetting trespassers on a Federal Indian reservation road within the limits of Indian Canyon, California, months after he was appointed as the first chief justice of the Costanoan Tribal Court (https://www.todayinlaw.com/article/587408919-federal-judge-in-california-passes-baton-to-costanoan-chualar-tribal-government-in-lawsuit-against-non-indian-offender).
On March 1, 2023, Peterson was released from federal custody, and on April 5, 2023, the criminal action derived from the Costanoan-Chualar Tribal Community's intergovernmental controversy was wholly terminated and closed by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
