I can plan and carry out an investigation to observe and record how light interacts with various materials.
I can plan and carry out an investigation on the path light travels from a light source to a mirror.
I can plan and carry out an investigation on how light is reflected by a mirror at different angles.
I can plan and carry out an investigation using everyday materials to show how light can be refracted.
Each PBL group, as mini-golf designers, will create a hole for a mini-golf course. As designers, you are tasked with proving that a hole-in-one is possible on the hole you built. You want your customers to give the 19th hole a try but you don't want EVERY person to make it. Your task is to prove that a hole-in-one is possible. Each group will create a paper design to draw and explain the angles that a golf ball (laser light) will need to travel to reach the golf hole. Using mirrors and laser lights you will prove a hole-in-one is possible on your mini-golf hole.
Remember, the Driving Question "drives" your project. Make sure you are answering the Driving Question through your products and presentation.
