April 14th: The Etiquette Dinner party is on April 28th and will run till 5:45. We will be eating pasta! We will also have our officer elections at the dinner. Be prepared with a short speech if you would like to run.

We will be talking about State for next semester. Sign up and reserve your spot today, limited spots for this trip!
We will be decorating sugar cookies, having a White Elephant gift exchange, playing Bingo, and spending time with friends.
If you want to participate in the Gift Exchange: Bring a wrapped (or in a bag) item from home. Do not bring anything over 20$ in value.
Gift Exchange rules:
Must bring something to participate
You will draw a number
First person gets to go again at the end
A gift can be stolen three times and then it is off-limits
If someone steals your gift, you can pick a new one or steal someone else's, don't be nervous about stealing, this is part of the fun!

Next Meeting is our Sales Awards event on September 24th! There will be a treat for anyone who sells at least 1 bag of popcorn.
T-shirt pick-up at the meeting. This is for anyone who has a paid membership, even if not attending Six Flags.

If you sell your 220 in Popcorn by the Double Good Deadline, you will be paid for Six Flags. I MUST have your permission form by Monday to secure your spot on the bus. If you have not sold 220 in popcorn, you will need to go on My Payments Plus and pay for the FBLA Fall Rally at Six Flags event, it is 85$. If you have not joined FBLA, you must still join to attend.

WOW! Twin Rivers Middle School FBLA Chapter has grown so much! Our chapter has already reached 130 students for the school year! We have temporarily paused new memberships on My Payments Plus because we are at capacity for the buses for the Fall Rally. Membership will reopen after the Fall Rally, and we will begin preparing for competitions!

SEPTEMBER 2ND- ICE CREAM SOCIAL, POPCORN SALES, AND SIX FLAGS INFO (ENDS AT 5:15) In the cafeteria after 3rd bus load!
If you plan to go to Six Flags, you should attend this meeting. Popcorn sales begin while we are in the meeting, and anyone who makes a sale before leaving will earn a prize! We will be serving ice cream sandwiches and beginning our fundraiser.
Double Good Popcorn will only be available for 4 days, September 2-6. If you sell 220 in Popcorn, your Six Flags fee is covered. If you don't sell the 220, you must go on to My Payments and Pay by September 8th. This is a hard deadline, and we are unable to add anyone after the 8th.
AUGUST 19TH- WELCOME BACK PIZZA PARTY (ENDS AT 5:15)
Please mark your calendars for our first meeting in the Cafeteria after school. This is open to anyone who has signed up for FBLA, you will get a slice of pizza and a drink, catch up with your friends and hear all about our plans for FBLA this school year.

We had so many great kids stand up and speak last night! I am proud of everyone who ran for office. If you did not get an office, do not worry, there are going to be so many ways to get involved next year. I will be reaching out and you are welcome to come by and see what opportunities exist! We are already looking forward to a great year.
To my 8th graders, I hope to see you all at Six Flags in September! We have plans in the work to collaborate more with the high school chapter so I will be seeing you :)

MAY 7TH IS (THIS WEDNESDAY) IS OUR 3RD ANNUAL ETIQUETTE DINNER
We will have guests from the high school to talk about the benefits of joining a CTSO in High School, an etiquette lesson, vote for officers for next year, and enjoy a catered Italian dinner.
We will only order enough for those who respond.

1-26 Update. Those who signed up for state: We will meet on Tuesday this week and next! January 28th and February 4th to go over practice test questions. Meetings end at 5:15. Mark your calendars for February 6th for testing in the media center.
1-22 update. Please see Ms. Peeples on Friday morning if you are attending the State Field trip (Feb 24). I want to make sure you are signed up for the testing/events that you want.
1-14- Reminder: there is a meeting today if you are interested in 2nd semester field trips. That also means you are going to compete for Twin Rivers (or take an online test). If you are not interested in attending the field trips, check back for dates for all chapter meetings. YOU MUST HAVE A RIDE BY 5:15. Ms. Peeples and Mrs. Klok need to go home at 5:15 also! thanks :)

1-7 Update:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! The first half of the Second Semester will focus on Competition. Our meetings in January will be on January 14th & January 28th. Please make an effort to attend if you are interested in attending our two field trips/events shown below. If you have zero interest in attending these, check back for the dates of the next all-chapter meeting.
State Conference is February 24th. This is in Columbus GA.
DEADLINE TO SIGN UP AND PAY IS: JANUARY 20. YOU CAN SIGN UP NOW on MPP! LIMITED TO 35 STUDENTS, 70$ TO ATTEND. If you sold 800 in popcorn, yours is free, but you have to turn in a permission form by January 20th to confirm your spot.
CTAE DAY WITH THE GLADIATORS MARCH 26TH. YOU MUST GO TO STATE TO ATTEND THIS. SIGN UP ON MY PAYMENTS PLUS BY: February 6th. Cost is 25$.

We will have our last FBLA chapter meeting of the semester on 12-17 after school. Please ensure you have a ride to pick you up at 5:15.

November 20 update:
Thank you all for attending our meeting yesterday! We collected 45 cans for the local pantry. Our top contributors were Preston, Aubrey, Ja'La, Oliva and Ava. Look for an email to claim your prize.
If you are signed up for a test: Blooket has some study guides for FBLA tests and there is a list of tests posted on Google Classroom. You can use quizlet, kahoot, google, etc to prepare! This should not be your only source, please look at the list of questions on the FBLA Middle School Competitive link that corresponds to your test. This is on the FBLA google classroom.
If you have not personally spoken to me about testing, you are not signed up. You can come by today or Friday or send me an email with questions. Testing is on December 4th at 1:15 in the media center!
The next full chapter meeting date will be confirmed and posted ASAP.
CHECK YOUR GMAIL. MS PEEPLES AND MS KLOK JUST SENT A FEW MESSAGES ABOUT COMPETITION TO THOSE WHO FILLED OUT THE INTEREST FORM. TESTING WILL BE AT SCHOOL ON DECEMBER 4TH, BUT WE NEED CONFIRMATION FROM EACH STUDENT THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO STUDY AND SHOW UP FOR THE TEST BEFORE WE REGISTER THEM. THANKS!!!!!!
11-19 Meeting Information - Our next Chapter meeting will be on November 19th. Please bring 2 cans of food for our food pantry collection for a Thanksgiving treat! The top 5 students with the most cans brought win prizes! Check expiration dates. We will finalize region competition sign-ups this day as well.

10-29 Meeting Information:
Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 29th! This meeting is for paid members only. We will stay longer please have a ride by 5:15 but the fun will continue outside until 5:30 pm, tell your parents to pick up in the back of the school.
(Ms Peeples doesn't want to be waiting any later than 5:30, if you can't have a ride home please take the bus)
This is a Halloween Costume Party!
So come dressed up! We will be having a competition of best single costume, best duo costume, and best group costume! You should pick something that can easily be put on and not require time to change into. Must be school appropriate!

September 5th update: Wow!! You all are doing great selling popcorn. It is not too late if you have not started, but you have to act quickly. This fundraiser only goes through Saturday at 5:00 PM. Our officers met yesterday and we have decided to move the sales appreciation event to September 17th after school. More details are coming! Anyone who sold at least one bag of popcorn will be invited. We will recognize our top sales at this event!
September 4th: Thanks all for brining your friends to our Ice Cream Social yesterday! I will do the drawing later today if you brought a friend! Tee Shirt Design Contest! We need a design, must be submitted by 9-6. This will be our group tee shirt for our Six Flags trip and school year! Also, this is a competition that we enter as a chapter to win prizes for our school!
Fall Motivational Rally - at Six Flags - SEPTEMBER 30, 2023 - Referrals do count now! Do not earn any referrals to be eligible to attend field trips!!!!!
