THIS WEEK is our Semester Performance Final: Seckinger's Broadway BOUND! 

• • Features ALL SKG Theatre PERFORMANCE STUDENTS!

  • Please come out and support our students as they perform their musical theatre routine as part of this energetic variety show!

  • Last year we packed the house, so this year there are two chances to see it: 3:00pm and 7:00pm!

• Students have been instructed to bring in costumes which were checked last week.

• Those missing items must bring them Tuesday 12/2 for Dress Rehearsal.

  • No purchases should be necessary. 

  • If students are unable to acquire their costumes, they have been instructed to let me know so they can check out what we have or borrow from a friend in class!

      • 2 Flowy Skirt and Long Sleeve top

      • 3 Character Heels or Flats

      • 4 (may wear same as male roles if above not available)

      • 5 (Frilly Aprons & Mugs Provided)

      • 1 White Button Up

  • Period 6 - Theatre Fundamentals - Prince Ali from Aladdin

      • 1 Black leggings 

      • 1 Three Girls: WHITE skirt

      • 2 Character heels/ sandals (no bright colors)

      • 3 Blank T shirt or Tank top (neutral colors)

      • 4 Coin Wraps and Scarves Provided

      • NOT required but encouraged: Colorful head scarf, Big bangle bracelets, Necklaces

      • 1 Black or neutral baggy pants

      • 2 Black or neutral T/ tank top

      • 3 Black boots or dress shoes

      • 4 Sashes and Aladdin Costume Provided

  • Students should attend their first period class and then come to the theatre

  • Parents must pick up at the front of the school.

    • Students will be instructed to text you with ETA when we board the bus to return to campus.

• Students must wear their SKG THEATRE or TECH T-Shirt and nice bottoms. 

• Impeccable behavior is mandatory, or students will not be allowed on any other field trip this year. 

• Students should bring water, snacks, and coats and layers.

• Don’t forget to send students with money (about $20) for lunch at Politan Row at Colony Square!

• We have FANTASTIC SKG Theatre MERCH for sale now through December 7th!!

• Items will be delivered to the school for pickup before the holiday break! 

• What a perfect holiday gift!! 🎁 

• SKG Theatre is hosting our Jambos’s Pajama Drive this year!

  • While you’re enjoying Black November deals, help teens in foster care by picking up a pair of new adult-sized pajamas! 

  • Pajamas may be dropped off in the bins around the theatre and throughout our school!

  • The Class that donates the MOST PAJAMAS WILL GET A PIZZA PARTY curtosy of SKG Theatre Boosters!

  • Thank you for helping us give back to our community!

• Thespys & Competition Pieces!

  • For those who wish to compete, payment must be submitted by check or cash to Sandrew (Booster’s Lock Box) in exchange for a receipt BY DECEMBER 1st to complete registration. No exceptions!

    • $25 for solo and duet events, $45 for group events

• Mandatory student & family meeting January 21st from 6:30-7:00pm in the theatre.

  • All must attend in person. 

  • More details provided at that time!

• All students received an email to complete a room assignment form!  Please complete it as soon as possible.

• Our MINI-Thespian Induction will occur during our Thespian & Tech HOLIDAY PARTY, December 9th 2:30-5:00pm. All are welcome to attend and may join in our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange! Bring a wrapped gift ($5.00 value or more) to participate- or just enjoy the holiday treats courtesy of our Theatre Booster Board! 

ALL Thespian SWEATSHIRTS will be in by the week after Thanksgiving break

The LAST DAY to turn in late / makeup work is 12/12.

If you are missing an assignment, please be sure you checked for it on Google Classroom before asking me about it. Most of the time the assignment is there and available for you to complete. :)

• Tech I Performance Final is Monday, December 1st (Legally Blonde Set Design Project & Presentation)

• Tech II Performance Final is Tuesday, December 2nd (Broadway Bound Lighting Design & Presentation)

• Acting I-IV, and Advanced Drama I-IV, Musical Theatre I-IV and Theatre Fundamentals I Performance Final is December 3rd (Broadway Bound Performances & Theatre Etiquette)

• Review: Wednesday, December 10

• Final Exams are December 16-19

Get Set for our First Trip of Second Semester at Aurora Theatre!

• The next payment is due January 6th.

• All students received an email to complete a room assignment form!  Please complete it as soon as possible.

• More details, such as shows we will see and finalized itinerary, are coming soon!

Our JV Theatre Class presents this comedic and romantic play set in the 1920’s on January 15th and 16th at 3:00 and 7:00pm!  Two Casts perform with the audience ON STAGE in the round! They are hilarious! This is not one to miss! Tickets available to Booster Club Members SOON!

Our SPRING MUSICAL Legally Blonde is OFF THE GROUND!  

THANKS to our volunteers who rented trucks and helped us move in our set! Thanks to Daniel Pope of Aurora Theatre and Jacklyn Faircloth of Georgia Gwinnett College's Grizzly Bearly Actors for generously loaning us their set! We are already ahead of the game!
