Heat Transfer

Heat is the flow of energy from a warm object to a cooler object.

Heat energy results from the movement of the tiny particles in solids, liquids, and gases and can be transferred from one object to another.

This transfer, which we call “heat,” happens because of the difference in temperatures between the two objects.

Heat energy moves from warmer objects to colder objects until both objects have the same temperature.
