High School: Woodland High School 2013

College: University of Georgia BSEd 2018

Coach Shelton was a four-year letterman for wrestling in high school. He won Region Championships, County Championships and was a 2x State Placer during his tenure at Woodland.

During his senior year, Coach Shelton was recruited to Truett-McConnell University to wrestle on scholarship. For his two years at Truett, He was the starting 133. During his time he placed at the Georgia State Championships twice, ranked 16th in the nation, and held the record for most tech falls both years.

After those two years, he transferred to the University of Georgia to focus on his education and pursue his degree in Education with a focus in History and Economics. 

Coach Shelton's wife's name is Madeleine and they have been happily married since June 2021.

Coach Shelton is looking forward to continuing the tradition, pride, and success that has come before him at Parkview and work with each individual to grow in the sport of wrestling and in life!
