HI THERE!

Welcome to our class! This is my fifth year teaching 3rd grade in Gwinnett County. This is my 2nd year teaching at Jackson and I am ecstatic to be your child's teacher. I was born and raised here in Gwinnett. I graduated from Peachtree Ridge High School and I am very excited to be in the Ridge cluster. I attended the University of Alabama and received both my Bachelors and Masters in Elementary Education. I recently got engaged to my best friend so I often spend alot of my free time wedding planning. 

Some of my favorite things to do is spending time with my friends and family, I love to cook, read, and exercise. 

You can expect this year to be a fun year. Third grade is a year full of growth, responsibilities, and opportunities, and I hold high expectations for each student. I do give homework but if your child uses his/her time wisely in the classroom, there will not be a lot to do at home. Each day I will write any assignments and dates of upcoming tests and students will copy this information in their binders. This is a great way for you to keep track of what's going on in the classroom. I also will put upcoming test dates on our weekly newsletter.

 I am excited to get to know you all this year and am looking forward to a great year. I operate on an open door policy and believe that communication is the core to all relationships. I believe all students can learn and it is my goal to ensure that all students feel welcomed, loved, and that they are able to be successful.
