In this Unit, students should be able to:
ask questions to compare and contrast the basic needs of plants (i.e., air, water, light, and nutrients) and animals (i.e., air, water, food, and shelter) using academic vocabulary
develop a model to identify the parts of a plant (i.e., root, stem leaf, and flower using academic vocabulary
collaboratively use materials to design a solution to a human problem by mimicking how plants and/or animals use their external parts to help them survive, grow, and meet their needs
