This week, we will use what we learned in our book, Off to Class, to write a paragraph about a problem a school around the world faced and how their community solved it.

Unit 1 - Building Fluency w/ Addition & Subtraction
Students will be continuing to practice their fact fluency as we begin to add and subtract 2 digit numbers with regrouping.
You can use these videos to see how we will solve problems with our base 10 blocks.
Our Unit 1 Test will be the week of September 16. Your child's study will come home this week for homework.
We will continue to build our fact fluency to 20 throughout the entire year. This Gimkit link is a fact fluency adding and subtracting now featuring doubles & doubles +1.

We are beginning our first science unit on matter! Students will be learning to use smaller pieces of matter to assemble structures. They will also begin to understand reversible and irreversible changes.
