Second Grade News
Week of 10/14/25
I hope you have a restful fall break! LOTS of information below.
Field Trip:
We are very excited to announce our field trip to Sparkles on November 14th. This will support our Force & Motion Science Unit. The permission slips and Sparkles waiver will be sent home after Fall Break. However, you can go to MyPaymentsPlus.com to pay for field trip as early as today!
Field Day:
Field Day is this Wednesday from 12:45-2:15. Check out the School Announcement slide at the bottom of the page to see what color t-shirt your child's class will be wearing.
Here are a few reminders for that day:
Purchased shirts will be given the day of Field Day. Your child will change into it that morning.
If your child brings a water bottle, make sure that their name is on it. Tennis shoes are encouraged since most events will be outside.
There is a chance your child may get wet, so if you would like to pack a change of clothes to change into after field day that would be perfectly fine.
Remember to check in with your teacher if you plan on checking your child out. Your child will walk back to the room with their teacher to collect their items. They must show the front office their green sticker given to them by their teacher.
Conferences:
Conferences will begin the week of October 22nd and October 23rd. These are also early release days. Students will be dismissed at 12:15. Make sure that you check in with your teacher to schedule an appointment.
