Grades K-12: Beginning of Year Contributions and Handbook Sign-Off
To kick off the new school year, MyPaymentsPlus is your go to resource for making beginning of year contributions. We encourage all families to login to their student's MyPaymentsPlus account to complete all necessary items. The GOC Student & Parent Handbook sign-off form was sent out to parents via ParentSquare on July 31. This document contains important information for the 2025-26 school year. Grades K-12: GCPS Student Passwords
Directions for Logging into your GCPS Chromebook OR GCPS Student Portal for the first time this 2025-26 School Year
Grades 6-12 Password Information:
Your initial password is your 8-digit DATE OF BIRTH (MMDDYYYY). For example, if your birthday is January 5, 2000, your initial portal password will be 01052000. You will be asked to change your password, and you will then be asked to choose two pictures for multi-factor authentication (MFA). Directions for setting up MFA can be found here. Going forward, you will be asked for your password and the two pictures you select during MFA setup to access the student portal.
If you do not know your password or your pictures, you will need to contact one of your teachers.
*If you are prompted to change your password, please choose one that is secure and easy to remember.
Grades K-5 Password Information:

Your password is the same as it was last year.

Grades K-12: Medical Plans
Please contact our Cluster Nurse Amy Ezell if your student has a medical plan, needs a medical plan, or has any questions or concerns regarding medical plans.
Grades K-12: School Council Nominations
We are looking for parents, community members, and business members to join our school council. Parents who are interested in nominating themselves or another parent for the 2025-26 GOC School Council may email Ms. Dee Godfrey with their nomination form no later than Tuesday, September 2. New board members will be notified via email.

Grades K-12: Car Rider Arrival & Dismissal Plan
In order to prepare for drop off or pick up through the car rider line, please review our Arrival & Dismissal plan prior to coming to campus for a scheduled event or for testing.
Grades K-12: Update on Expectations for In-Person Testing at GOC
We would like to inform you of an important update regarding expectations for in-person testing at GOC.
Grades K-5 are expected to come to the GOC campus for iReady testing. Testing begins on August 13th.
All final exams for high school courses, including middle school Carnegie Unit courses, will be administered in-person on campus. This update ensures a consistent and secure testing environment for all students and aligns with district and state assessment guidelines.
Key points to note:
In-person attendance is required for all students enrolled in these courses
A detailed exam schedule, including dates, times, and room assignments, will be shared by the GOC testing team
Alternative testing options will be available for students with approved absences

Grades K-5: iReady Diagnostic
Students in grades K-5 will participate in the iReady Diagnostic in person at GOC on August 13th & 14th. Please click here for the schedule. Detailed information was sent out via email from Melissa Torrens and reminders will be sent next week. We look forward to seeing our students on campus. Grades 6-12: Homeroom Teacher Virtual Meet & Greet
All Middle & High School students should have received an email inviting them to an important homeroom meeting tomorrow, August 8 with their homeroom teacher.
Middle School: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
High School: 11:30- a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
If you did not get an email invitation, please email your homeroom teacher!
Grades 6-12: Counseling Lessons
During the month of August, our middle school students will receive a lesson on Title IX and our high school students will receive lessons on both Title IX and appropriate device care.

Grade 12: Senior Parent Night

ParentSquare is a simple-to-use platform that provides a safe way for schools and families to communicate and connect. ParentSquare is your go-to platform for communication and reminders. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this powerful tool to stay connected, engaged, and actively involved in their child's educational journey.
With its user-friendly interface, ParentSquare offers seamless two-way communication through newsletters, posts and emergency alerts. Grades K-12: 2025-26 Owls Nest Café
We are kicking off year 7 of the Owls Nest Café, with some changes! As part of a district-wide initiative to improve efficiency and convenience, the café will now be completely cashless. This means faster, safer transactions for students, staff, and families alike.
We will now accept all electronic forms of payment to include: Credit & Debit Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
In addition, for the first time since the café opened, there will be a small price adjustment on all menu items to help us continue providing quality service and products.
