Reading Incentives:
Why should Fort Daniel students read at home? Reading is a lot like soccer, baseball or gymnastics - with focused practice, participants improve. Similarly, the more students read, the better they become! While our students need instruction to read effectively, they need to PRACTICE just as much! Research shows that students who read consistently for 20 minutes a day can significantly increase their academic performance as well as their language acquisition and usage.
Please contact Mrs. Watson via email at chandler.watson@gspck12.org if you have any questions, need help supporting a reluctant reader, or need suggestions for books to read.
