Brendan Kennedy earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Ball State University in 2026 under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Crow and Dr. Kerry Glann. As a Graduate Teacher Assistant, he conducted multiple choral ensembles, oversaw the social media strategy for the choral area, and assisted with the technical team for the show choir. In addition to his duties to the choral area, Mr. Kennedy also coordinated the front of house staff at Emens Auditorium. 

Brendan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Georgia Southern University in 2023. His mentors were Dr. Shannon Jeffreys, Dr. David Langley, and Dr. Briana Sosenheimer. During his time at Georgia Southern, Brendan served as an undergraduate choral assistant, president of the Zeta Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, president of the student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, and the Stage Manager for Georgia Southern Opera.

As a conductor, educator, and researcher, Mr. Kennedy has published research articles with Georgia Southern University and the New York Singing Teachers’ Association’s (NYSTA) VOICEPRINTS. His research interests involve vocal pedagogy for choral classrooms and classroom/adolescent psychology. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAFME), Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, Pi Kappa Lambda, Phi Kappa Phi, the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and the National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO). A Georgia native, he draws on many unique experiences from marching band, concert choir, church music, technical theatre, and stage management to bring a high energy environment to every rehearsal.
