With over 10 years of teaching experience in Gwinnett County, we bring firsthand knowledge of effective teaching practices to small-group and one-on-one instruction. As active teachers, we are able to integrate current practices into our instruction, ensuring that lessons align directly with your child's school experiences. Fun Fact: We met at the very school where we still teach today!

Dr. Armistead earned her Doctorate in Education from Georgia State University in 2024-- her research study explored students' reading experiences with graphic novels, comics, and manga. With certifications in Gifted education, ESOL, and the Science of Reading, she is well-equipped to support students at all levels of their literacy journey. Now in her 11th year of teaching English Language Arts, she has dedicated her most recent years in teaching AP Seminar, AP Lang, and American Literature.

Mr. Armistead graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2013 with degrees in English Literature and Political Science. After graduation, he worked for the Ferst Foundation of Childhood Literacy (now Ferst Readers) as Editor of Publications in Georgia. In 2017, he earned his Master's of Arts in English Education from the University of Georgia. Now entering his 10th year of teaching Language Arts, he has dedicated his time to teaching AP English Literature and Composition, as well as 9th and 10th grade Gifted Literature and Composition.
