GCPS Mission of Acceleration Programs & Gifted Office

Gifted Students will be able to critically examine the complexity of knowledge, think creatively and critically to identify and solve real-world problems, conduct thoughtful research/exploration in multiple fields, and develop and deliver a variety of authentic products that demonstrate understanding in multiple disciplines in order to compete for admission into competitive colleges and universities.

Gifted Services at Alcoca

Grades 1- 3

Students will attend FOCUS segments each day to work on critical thinking skills, enrichment activities, and independent projects that extend learning.

Grades 4-5

Students remain with their Gifted certified classroom teacher and fellow peers. This provides an opportunity to move more quickly through the curriculum, as well as, engage in extention projects that directly link to curriculum.
