General Information/Requirements:
The Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars Program provides scholarships for talented, high-achieving young women from the Midwest to participate in academic summer programs at some of the country's top colleges: Barnard, Brown, Cornell, Emory, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Smith, UChicago, WashU, and Yale.
-Available to female students, grades 11-12
-Scholarships are based on merit and demonstrated financial need
-Scholarships can be used to cover tuition, room and board, travel expenses, and supplies
-Summer Scholars may use their scholarship to participate in summer courses. Courses are two-weeks or longer in length
-In some cases, students are eligible to receive college credit
-Application Requirements: two, 250-word essays, one 650-word essay parent/guardian tax forms for prior two years, official coies of PSAT, SAT, and/or ACT (if applicable), one teacher/counselor letter of reccomendation, official high school transcript
-Application deadline is March 1st, 2022
