EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL

WHAT IS ECHS?

ECHS stands for Early College High School.

ECHS courses are partnered with Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana University.

Any CHS student may enroll in an Ivy Tech course for FREE during their senior year: on-line or on-campus.

Students enroll in dual credit courses, which allows them to complete BOTH high school AND college credits simultaneously.

Here's what ECHS can offer:

Students earn college credit while in high school, decreasing the amount of time it takes to complete a college degree
Students and families benefit from the reduced for FREE tuition costs
Students receive enhanced support that may include any of the following:
- Each grade level at CHS has its own cohort of ECHS students
- Meetings with advisors
- Guest speakers
- College information and yearly field trips
- Study skills and learning styles
- Serve as Student Ambassadors
- Complete Service Learning Projects
