Caleb Pond joined Fayetteville Public Schools in 2009. Mr. Pond leads the beginning flute, woodwind, and Symphonic Band at Woodland Junior High. He also assists with the Marching Bulldog Band at Fayetteville High School and beginning high and low brass classes at Woodland Junior High. Previously, Mr. Pond served as Assistant Band Director at Northwest High School and Gene Pike Middle School in the DFW area. Mr. Pond earned both of his degrees from the University of Arkansas. He received his Bachelor’s degree of Music Education from the University of Arkansas in 2004, and he earned his Masters degree in Instrumental Conducting in 2009 while serving as a University Bands Graduate Teaching Assistant. Mr. Pond has recently been seeking National Board certification in Music (EAYA) in order to further his dedication to teaching and his commitment to the talented students of the Fayetteville band program.
Michael Post joined Fayetteville Public Schools in 2015. Mr. Post leads Symphonic Band II and assists with the Bulldog Marching Band and Concert Band I at Fayetteville High School. In addition, he leads beginning brass instruction and assists with the 8th grade concert band and beginning woodwind instruction at Woodland Junior High. Previously, Mr. Post served as an Assistant Band Director in Springdale, Arkansas and Director of Bands in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Post completed graduate work at the University of Arkansas where he earned a Masters of Music degree in Tuba Performance. Mr. Post is an active performer on trombone and tuba. He has performed with numerous notable regional ensembles. Mr. Post served as a Brass Instructor with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2015 to 2019. In 2008 he performed with Blue Stars and was the winner of the solo tuba division in the Drum Corps International Individual and Ensemble competition.
ISAIAH STERLING
Isaiah Sterling joined Fayetteville Public Schools in 2026. Mr. Sterling is a dedicated musician whose passion for percussion and education has shaped his impressive career. He honed his skills at Missouri Western State University, where he studied Music Education and achieved recognition on the President’s List for his outstanding academic performance. He received his Masters degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Kansas. Isaiah has served as a Percussion Instructor at Shawnee Mission South High School, Show Choir Band Director at Blue Valley High School, and as a Marching Band Technician at Blue Springs High School. Isaiah’s experience extends beyond the classroom, as he has been an integral part of many renowned musical ensembles. As a member of the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps and the Fountain City Brass Band, he has showcased his talent on prestigious stages, earning accolades and admiration from audiences worldwide. With his wealth of experience and dedication to his craft, Isaiah Sterling continues to inspire and uplift aspiring young musicians through his own private studio.
