Fayetteville Public Schools is focused on creating inclusive environments to ensure that students with disabilities receive their education in the general curriculum alongside their peers without disabilities to the greatest extent possible. Maximizing student participation in the general education setting is first priority. Specialized instructional services are provided along a continuum of services. The continuum of service options become more restrictive as instructional delivery time in the general education setting decreases.

By placing counselors in the schools, school and counseling staff are able to collaborate and provide maximum benefit to the student.
