A Student Success Plan is a personalized education plan intended to assist students with achieving readiness for college, career, and community engagement.
There are four major components of the Student Success Plan.
-Guide the student along pathways to graduation
-Address accelerated learning opportunities
-Address academic deficits and interventions
-Include college and career planning components
It is critical to remember that student success planning is centered around trusted adults building relationships with students.
Student Success Plans are developed by school personnel, in collaboration with parents and the student, and updated annually. The Student Success Plan is a working plan that is dynamic and visited periodically by the student and an advisor or mentor to support the overall success of the student to graduate ready for postsecondary opportunities.
Current 8th -12th graders are working on their student success plan portfolios. These plans will progress with the students as they advance through high school. Current 8th graders work heavily on this through their career development class and will review their portfolios in their CAP conference. Current 9th-12th graders work on their plans through advisory. The portfolios will be reviewed during CAP conferences each year.
