We provide Structured Learning Services (SLS) at Owl Creek Elementary. While we have a classroom, we believe that special education is a service not a place. We service students who access Special Education services through a set of programs-- some inside the SLC and often outside the classroom with the rest of their peers! We value inclusion, authentic friendship & learning from each other's perfectly unique personalities & strengths!

Karly Tornatore (Mrs. T): Lead Teacher
I graduated with my undergrad in elementary education in 2015 from the University of Arkansas and with my Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2016. I worked under our districts Behavior Specialist, Mindy Duell (BCBA) during my internship at Root Elementary. This is my fourth year teaching and I love learning how to be a better teacher to students with all different abilities. My first year of teaching I worked at Vandergriff Elementary School on the east side of Fayetteville, my second year I worked as the IMPRESS Elementary teacher for the district where I worked with students who require intense behavior support. This is my second year at Owl Creek and I love it so, so much! My husband and I have been married 3 years and we love living in Fayetteville, finding new restaurants and visiting beautiful places.

Hi! I’m Savannah Saunders! I have been a Paraprofessional in SLS classrooms for three years, and this will be my second at Owl Creek. I love to garden, especially BIG plants like sunflowers and elephant ears. My husband and I really enjoy cooking together, playing with our little dog, Lukas, and traveling. My favorite part of working with children is getting to see those Aha! moments when students acquire a skill and start using it independently. I can’t wait to use our outdoor courtyards this year and look forward to getting to know your child better!
