ABOUT
SLIM Las Vegas students are admitted as a group (cohort).
A new Las Vegas cohort begins each August, which is the fall semester.
Application materials are reviewed upon their receipt, and students are notified of their acceptance status as soon as decisions are made. The earlier all application materials are received, the earlier a decision can be made. Applications should be submitted by July 1st for priority consideration.
Required classes are taught during two intensive weekends with online work spanning the entire semester. Electives are taught online; some are offered with weekend intensive instruction.
Hours for classes are Fridays from 6-9 pm and Saturdays from 9 am – 5pm.
SLIM Las Vegas students graduate with a Master of Library Science from Emporia State University. Emporia State University, located in Emporia, Kansas, is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA).
