The Gardner lab is studying how bacteria adapt to their environments. Specifically, we are interested in the mechanisms that control signal pathways in bacteria. The lab is staffed with both undergraduate students and graduate students who work together to make new discoveries. Some of the techniques and technologies that we use include: spectrophotometer, agarose gel, PCR, gene cloning, Bacterial Adenylate Cyclase Two Hybrid systems, enzyme activity assays, liquid chromatography, 96 well plates, and more. If you are interested in our research or these techniques, please contact us. I am happy to discuss my research interests with students and welcome their help in the laboratory.
