Thank you for visiting this site. This site is designed by Emporia State University students to increase awareness about emotional wellness, allowing for personal and academic growth.
Is a state of emotional, physical, and metal exhaustion. It is caused by excessive and large amounts stress. It can commonly occur when someone feels overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands.
As a small group of students, we are focusing on the mental health of college students, individuals who are juggling extracurricular activities. It is not unheard of for students to become so overwhelmed with responsibilities that they have no more motivation to put toward their academic studies and homework. Some people might consider this to be called “burnout”. “Burnout” refers to someone who over-works themselves to where they have no more motivation to do something productive. We are dedicated to finding solutions to combat this problem. The student advising center at Emporia State University is one great resource; however, they are not available 24/7 for students who are too busy. We want resources to be available to all at all times of the day and night. Check out our "10 steps to kick out burnout" and our resources page which includes apps, websites, and some good ideas on how to take charge of your burnout.
