In an effort to see Emporia State University students excel academically, the Academic Center for Excellence and Success (ACES) provides a variety of academic support services for ESU students. One of the most popular services is tutoring. The ACES tutoring staff are trained and certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) to help students learn and retain information.
Need to schedule an appointment with a tutor? All appointments can be scheduled via the ACES Canvas course. You can also schedule an appointment by going to emporia.accudemia.net.

Spring 2024 tutoring
ACES is currently open for tutoring for the Spring 2024 semester! To schedule an appointment with a tutor, please log in to Accudemia (ACES Tutoring Management Platform): https://emporia.accudemia.net/. If asked to log in, please use your ESU sign in credentials.

In order to meet the qualifications to be an ACES tutor, applicants will need:
A B or better in the course they wish to tutor
A 3.00 GPA or higher
Ability to obtain a recommendation from a faculty member
Application materials must include:
Resume (for help go to the Career Services page: https://www.emporia.edu/alumni-careers/career-services/student-services/)
Name of 1 Professional/Personal reference who is qualified to speak to applicant's fitness for tutoring (Professor, teacher, supervisor, etc.)
Unofficial transcripts
Note: only completed applications will be considered. Applications can be brought directly to ACES front desk (2nd Floor WAW Library) or emailed to aces@emporia.edu

Please note that the below hours are WALK-IN hours ONLY. These are times when tutors will be waiting in the center to meet with students on a walk-in basis. Tutors have much more availability via one-on-one appointments.
