Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is an annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people.

The English teachers at Séneca school have taught our students the origins of this annual event, which is so important for the American people. Students have enjoyed doing several activities related to the history of this day through quizzes, games and sharing our best thankful messages in a padlet.
