Welcome to Cavaleri Bilingual Radio
Welcome to Cavaleri Bilingual Radio, the school podcast project created by the students of IES Cavaleri. This website is a space where students share their voices, ideas, creativity, experiences and knowledge in English through different podcast sections.
This project brings together bilingual learning, Erasmus+, internationalization and other school initiatives, showing how English can be used as a real communication tool across the curriculum and beyond the classroom. Through Erasmus+ experiences, science, art, history, sport, music, technology, maths, digital culture and other areas of knowledge, students practise oral expression while exploring meaningful and engaging content.
Our aim is to promote oral communication in a real and meaningful way, while connecting English with different subjects, projects and learning experiences. Each episode has been prepared, recorded and presented by students as part of a wider educational project based on communication, creativity, teamwork and active learning.
On this website, you will find different sections, each one with its own style and content:
Pasaporte Cavaleri Erasmus
In this section, students from IES Cavaleri share their experiences, memories and learning from their Erasmus+ mobilities and international projects. Through their voices, we travel across Europe to discover new cultures, ways of life, educational activities and values such as coexistence, cooperation, sustainability, European citizenship and learning beyond the classroom.
Science in 120 Seconds
In this section, students explain scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way. You will find short episodes about topics such as photosynthesis, static electricity, experiments, the science fair, bioluminescence and other fascinating scientific ideas. The goal is to make science easy to understand and enjoyable for everyone.
Sports & Healthy Living
This section focuses on sport, health and well-being. Students talk about the importance of physical activity, healthy habits, mental health, stress, screen time and the benefits of staying active. These episodes encourage listeners to reflect on how small daily habits can improve our body and mind.
Music & Culture
In Music & Culture, students explore famous songs, artists and musical movements. They present legendary tracks, explain their meaning and reflect on why some songs become part of our cultural memory. This section connects music with history, emotions, identity and society.
The Math Detective
This section is for curious minds. Students present logic puzzles, riddles and problem-solving challenges, inviting listeners to think carefully before revealing the solution. It is a fun way to practise English while developing reasoning, attention to detail and mathematical thinking.
Art On Air
In Art On Air, students guide listeners through famous paintings, sculptures and artists. They describe masterpieces, explain their historical and artistic context, and reflect on the emotions, symbols and stories behind each work of art. This section brings museums and artworks closer to our school community.
What If…? Counterfactual History
This section invites listeners to imagine alternative versions of history and science. What if the internet had never been invented? What if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What if humans could travel through time? Through these questions, students practise critical thinking, creativity and historical imagination.
Gamer’s Corner
In Gamer’s Corner, students talk about video games, digital culture and gaming communities. They present popular games, explain their mechanics, discuss their stories and reflect on why certain games continue to attract players around the world.
