¿En qué consiste la enseñanza bilingüe?
Es un modelo de enseñanza en el que se imparten en inglés dos o más materias no lingüísticas (ANL) siguiendo las recomendaciones del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCER) para la mejora de la competencia comunicativa y lingüística.
¿Por qué es tan importante la enseñanza bilingüe?
La enseñanza bilingüe es hoy en día un enfoque innovador que va más allá de la mera enseñanza de una lengua y, por tanto, implica cambios metodológicos, curriculares y organizativos. El énfasis ya no está en la lengua extranjera en sí, sino en su capacidad comunicativa y de transmitir conocimientos. El enfoque AICLE (CLIL Method) proporciona la naturalidad necesaria para que el idioma se use de forma espontánea en el aula ya que las clases de la Áreas No Lingüísticas (ANL), se convierten en una oportunidad de experimentar y utilizar habilidades comunicativas en el marco escolar.
¿Desde cuándo se imparte la enseñanza bilingüe en nuestro centro?
El Programa Bilingüe lleva realizándose en el IES Juan de Mairena desde el curso 2017/2018 y se imparte en todos los niveles de la ESO.

¿Qué ventajas tiene estudiar en un centro bilingüe?
Aprender idiomas ayuda a los alumnos a desarrollar valores de tolerancia, pluriculturalidad y análisis crítico y favorece el interés por otras culturas y otras formas de pensar el mundo. En nuestro centro celebramos distintas fiestas culturales anglosajonas y francófonas.
Se realizan actividades lúdicas y de entretenimiento con el objetivo de ampliar y reforzar la competencia comunicativa de nuestro alumnado.
Se mejora la comprensión y expresión de la lengua materna (L1), profundizando en sus raíces culturales.
Se facilita la cohesión del alumnado a través de actividades cooperativas e integradas en las áreas no lingüísticas (ANL).
Se mejora la competencia lingüística del alumnado a través de nuestros/as auxiliares de conversación y la participación en distintos programas y actividades de inmersión lingüística.
What does bilingual education consist of?
It is a teaching model in which two or more non-linguistic subjects (ANL) are taught in English following the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for the improvement of communicative and linguistic competence.
Why is bilingual education so important?
Bilingual education is today an innovative approach that goes beyond the mere teaching of a language and, therefore, implies methodological, curricular and organizational changes. The emphasis is no longer on the foreign language itself, but on its ability to communicate and transmit knowledge. The CLIL approach (CLIL Method) provides the naturalness necessary for the language to be used spontaneously in the classroom, since the Non-Language Areas (ANL) classes become an opportunity to experiment and use communication skills within the framework of school.
How long has bilingual education been taught in our school?
The Bilingual Programme has been carried out at IES Juan de Mairena since the 2017/2018 academic year and is taught at all levels of ESO.

What are the advantages of studying in a bilingual school?
Learning languages helps students to develop values of tolerance, multiculturalism and critical analysis and fosters interest in other cultures and other ways of thinking about the world. In our school, we celebrate different Anglo-Saxon and French-speaking cultural festivals.
Recreational and entertainment activities are carried out with the aim of expanding and reinforcing the communicative competence of our students.
The understanding and expression of the mother tongue (L1) is improved, deepening its cultural roots.
Student cohesion is facilitated through cooperative and integrated activities in non-linguistic areas (ANL).
The linguistic competence of the students is improved through our conversation assistants and the participation in different programmes and activities of linguistic immersion.
