視覚や聴覚と異なり、「時間」の知覚には、特定の感覚器がありません。時間知覚がどのような神経活動に基づいて実現されるのか、行動実験、シミュレーション、脳機能計測などを用いて検証しています。
Unlike vision or audition, the perception of time does not rely on a dedicated sensory organ. We investigate the neural activity underlying time perception using behavioral experiments, computational simulations, and measurements of brain function.

When multiple sources of perceptual information are processed simultaneously, they are first processed in parallel and then integrated. We study this process by examining differences in the speed of parallel processing, the role of synchronized neural activity, interactions between processing streams, and the timing of integration.
