Talks
There are many student participants and the audience is rather mixed between mathematicians and physicists. I would therefore suggest (1) you should not assume too much, and the first half to explain basic movitations etc. and make the session of the "you can ask anything" flavor; (2) the more technical contents will come on the second half.
Related to the points above, I would encourage all, especially students, to ask questions during the talks, especially during the first half.
There is some flexibility in the schedule and we may change the schedule as the schedule goes on.
Some information
It takes some time to get to the venue, so please plan accordingly. I recommend arriving early to enjoy the areas around.
There is no officially organized transportation, but I would encourage you to come together (e.g. by coordinating time for bus/train)
You will be able to be reimbursed from Masahito's grant. (If you want to use some other source, please tell the IPMU secretary that you will not need one.)
If you are reimbursed from Masahito's grant, for the moment you need to pay to the hotel directly. You will be reimbursed for a fixed amount from the grant later from UTokyo. (Please double check with the secretary)
The price (accommodation + breakfast, dinner) costs:
(per day) ¥11550+tax¥ 150 + (¥5500; single use) + ¥880 * 2 (room charge for day 1/3)
The accommodation rooms will be shared between postdocs/students.
We will collect 1000~2000 JPY for snacks/drinks, so please have some cash at hand. Also, we will ask you for your help in setting up snacks/drinks.
