I am from Egypt, Cairo. I have quite a diverse background: I first studied mechanical engineering, then I spent one year in law school; but finally I focused on studying physics. I have a bachelor degree in physics from Zewail University and a masters degree in theoretical physics from The University of Edinburgh. I am currently a PhD physics student at The University of Tokyo.
I am mainly interested in biophysics and gravitational physics:
Biophysics: I study chemical evolution in the abiotic phase. This mainly encompasses understanding abiotic replication of genetic material (RNA or other forms of Nucleic acid peptides), the emergence of functional RNA, and how did evolution kick start. I am also interested in chemical networks and out-of-equilibrium behaviour of such systems.
Gravitational physics: I am studying both fundamental questions in gravity and questions more related to current experiments. For questions related to experiments, I study gravitational waves in strong regimes including effects such as electromagnetic fields, and stability of spacetimes. For more theoretical questions, I am currently studying statistical mechanics in general relativity.
