Hello! My name is Tyler Cosper. This is my first year teaching 4th grade at W.S. Ryan, and my thirteenth year in education. I spent the last twelve years in various roles at the middle school level which included language art, math, and instructional coaching and testing coordinator.
I was born and raised right down the road in Lake Dallas. After high school, I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. In 2020 I obtained my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy.
My husband Derek is a football coach and teacher at Flower Mound High School, and together we have 3 amazing kids: Chandler, Whitley and Jax. When we are not on the sidelines supporting the Jaguars, we are watching our own kids' play sports, enjoying family game nights and the outdoors!
¡Hola!
Hello! My name is Karen Venegas. This year will be my second year at W.S. Ryan, but my first year teaching 4th grade. I’m very excited to see what the year will bring us!
I’m from a small town in East Texas called Nacogdoches. After graduating from high school, I moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas, where I recently earned a bachelor’s degree in bilingual education, becoming the first in my family to obtain a college degree. This was a huge accomplishment for me as a first-generation Mexican American! For this, and many other reasons, I feel deeply passionate about the education of our bilingual students.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love shopping at places like Target, but I usually prefer to relax at home.
I am confident that this will be a successful year! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Hi, my name is Ali Lopez. I am a product of Denton ISD. I attended McNair, Crownover, and Guyer. I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio. After living in San Antonio for 4 years, I realized Denton was my forever home. My Husband and I have two boys, 8 and 10. We love DIY-ing, fishing, swimming, and watching movies! This will be my 11th year at WS Ryan, and my eighth year in fourth grade.
My favorite things are baseball games and country music concerts. I love weekends filled with family, friends, and naps. I love shopping on amazon and at Target. I love Starbucks, Chick-fil-a, going to the movies, new colorful pens, and anything from Buc-ees (especially their breakfast tacos).
I am thrilled to have your child as a student in my class this year! Please don’t ever hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to making this the
best year it can be!
Hello, I'm Ms. Mireles and I am excited to be your child's teacher for this 23-24 school year. This will be my seventh year teaching here at W.S.Ryan. I was born and raised in Denton, TX, and am a product of Denton ISD. I graduated from the University of North Texas. In my spare time, I enjoy watching my thirteen-year-old son play baseball. I love anything that has to do with sports. Some of my favorite teams are the Rangers, Mavericks, and Celtics. My goal for your child is to provide a safe learning environment and aren’t afraid to take risks.
Throughout the year, your student will see a variety of teachers in our classrooms that will be there to help us help your children. Here are our interventionists who will be a big help to Mrs. Beeler and Mrs. Caldwell
Mrs. Ann Winkle is the Reading and Math Interventionist at W.S. Ryan Elementary. Mrs. Winkle has been in education for 39 years. She has worked as an EXPO teacher, has teaching experience in grades K-5 (except 2nd), and has taught 4th grade for 21 years. My name is Claudia Martinez. This will be my 24th year as an educator. I am beginning my 8th year of teaching at W.S. Ryan Elementary. Prior to teaching at Ryan, I taught in Krum, Texas for 3 years and before moving to Krum, I taught for 14 years in Laredo, Texas.
I spent the beginning of my youth in Laredo and finished elementary, middle and high school in El Paso, Texas. Once I graduated from high school, I attended college at TAMIU. It was during my university years that I found my passion for educating others. I spent a few years working with Americorps where I taught adult citizenship classes and summer youth programs. I found myself becoming close with the families of those I worked with and every year, I looked forward to adding to my "family". This is where I knew that I was supposed to be a teacher.
I moved to Krum, Texas in 2013 and have enjoyed living in a small, quiet town. I have two sons. My oldest, Sebastian, will be turning 24 years old in November. He is an engineering student at UNT. My youngest son, Zachary, is 16 years old and is about to start his junior year at Krum Middle School. I am also a proud owner of a beautiful cat named Shay.
Sobre Sra. Martinez
Me llamo Claudia Martinez.
