Howdy!

This will be my fourth year teaching at Crownover Middle School, and I love being a Crownover Cowboy!! I am also working as the RCMS Spelling Bee Coordinator and helping out with RCMS Student Council this year! English has always been a passion of mine from a very early age. I love books, and writing is definitely something I am passionate about. One thing that I love about being an English teacher is helping struggling writers gain confidence in their writing and helping reluctant readers find the book that is right for them!

I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor of Arts in English with my teaching certificate. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Library & Information Science at TWU. I live in Corinth with my husband, Matt, and our adorable cat, Ember. He loves all things computer-related while Ember enjoys playing fetch with socks, cuddling, and dumping out her water bowl.

Some of my hobbies are reading, trying new recipes, writing, sewing & crafting, and "Dentoning" which involves a lot of walking around, eating Beth Marie's ice cream, listening to a lot of live music, doing yoga on the Denton Square, and digging through Recycled Books.
