Greetings Cougars!
Hello! My name is Tabatha Rodriguez Fedorisko and I am honored to be a part of Calhoun, my middle school alma mater, as the new EB/ELAR teacher. I come to Calhoun from The Colony High School, where I taught everything from 9th grade inclusion to 11th grade AP classes. Coming back to my childhood middle school as an EB/ELAR teacher is a full circle experience because it is where I fell in love with English class and with writing. I am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm for the basics and “not so basics” of English Language Arts and Reading with my students.
When I am not in the classroom, I can be found spending time with my family, including my husband, Dan, and my two grown sons, Michael and Justin (and their partners), as well as my new granddaughter, Alice. I also enjoy walking (for miles), as well as biking and paddleboarding. My husband and I have two senior pups, Shigure (Sugar for short, named after the Fruits Basket anime character) and Henry.
Of course, I also enjoy reading and writing. Fantasy and Science Fiction are my go-tos for reading, although I do enjoy other genres, as well. Fun fact: I am the self-published author of a YA Fantasty novel.
