Our classroom is a Black Box space full of costly electrical equipment, including low-hanging lights, speakers, curtains, set pieces, costumes, and props. Because this specialized equipment is easily damaged and costly to clean, repair, or replace, we can only have water in a closed container within our classroom space. We also want to prevent bugs that might eat our costume storage.
This policy also applies to the SMS auditorium.
Students must sign out and in when leaving the room and use the restroom pass. Students may not leave the classroom during the first and last 10 minutes of class. Only one student may leave the room at a time.
Grading period dates are published by the district. Performance grades may take up to one week to be posted. Reassessments for performance grades may be done before school during tutorials if needed.
