Hi, My name is Lori Spellman! This will be my 20th year teaching and my eighth year teaching at Adkins Elementary. Before coming to Adkins, I taught middle school math for twelve years. I have enjoyed teaching 5th grade because I love helping students build a strong number sense and problem solving foundation to be ready for math in middle school, high school, and everyday life.
I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University and my master's degree from Texas A&M-Commerce.
My husband Patrick, and our two children, Caroline (sophomore at UNT) and Jackson (sophomore at Guyer) live in Corinth. Sutton, our Goldendoodle, joined us during Snowvid. She keeps us on our toes because when she thinks she needs our attention, she grabs things off the counter that she knows she is not supposed to have.
I LOVE to laugh and have fun with my family, friends, and students. I enjoy being outside whether it is gardening, kayaking, playing pickelball or just taking long walks.
