Vulture

Pencil, sharpie
9/12/25
I created this artwork based on my favorite animal, the vulture. I chose a vulture as my animal because they represent death and rebirth. Vultures are an important part of the life cycle. The blue represents the sky behind my reference photo.
Celtic Knot
11 x 11
Pencil, sharpie
9/12/25
I drew a celtic knot that depicts a skull. mirror and face. It represents the life/death cycle and reflects the viewers own experiences in life. I used contrasting colors to mimic the contrast of life and death.

2024
I started by painting a background with tempera paint. Then I thought the picture kind of looked like a wall, so I traced some lines with a sharpie. I liked the idea of having value and a shadow so I added those too.
