Respond to student regulation needs day-to-day
Provide classroom lessons on Essential 8 skills & State Mandated Education units
Consult with teachers and staff on classroom or individual student needs
Brief small groups K-5 on skills identified by teachers or parents
Only 4-6 weeks
Develop programs/events for Shultz that promote positive character traits and skills as a lifelong learner
Ex: Red Ribbon Week, College & Career Week, etc.
Collaborate with community leaders
Our dear Mustang is looking for a job!
We need interested “employers” who would take Mustang to a work day with them and show him the ropes. He’s hoping to bring back everything he learns to teach our students about future careers!
You could document your time together with photos, Google Slides/Powerpoint, a video - whatever you feel comfortable doing.
*Think Flat Stanley, but a Mustang!

The mission of Shultz Elementary’s School Counseling Program is to remain student-centered at heart, providing a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program which meets the needs of the whole child and allows them to reach their full potential. The school counseling program works collaboratively with students, families, and other school stakeholders to identify and remove barriers to a student’s academic, social, emotional, and future success. Students will be taught the responsibility, empathy, and self-awareness paramount to becoming a contributing member of society and a world-class leader.
