Math 8 Course Recovery
Rising 9th graders
Face to Face
Required for students who did not successfully complete Math 8. (Math 8 is a state prerequisite for Algebra I.) Students who did not pass Math 8 in the regular school year and do not successfully complete this summer recovery option will be required to enroll in an additional math support elective in 9th grade.
In-person instruction at each MS. [Harpool MS and Crownover MS students meet at McMath MS.]

Virtual/Asynchronous
Designed for students who have taken but did not pass one or more semesters of a core course required for graduation. Students can enroll for up to 2 semesters at a time (and can take one additional semester, time permitting). A diagnostic assessment allows students to advance through areas where they show mastery. Students must be comfortable working independently at home. (This is a voluntary program.)

Principles of Business, Marketing, & Finance
Rising 7th or 8th graders

Designed for rising 8th grade students who wish to satisfy their career and college exploration requirement outside of the normal school year. Principles of Business, Marketing, & Finance introduces students to the fundamentals of how businesses operate, including basic concepts in entrepreneurship, marketing, financial literacy, and economic decision-making. (This is a voluntary program.)

Principles of Health Science
Rising 11th or 12th graders

Designed for students that wish to take health science courses at LaGrone, but are missing the required prerequisite. Principles of Health Science introduces students to the fundamentals of healthcare systems, medical terminology, and the roles and responsibilities of health professionals, emphasizing basic skills, ethics, and patient care. (This is a voluntary program.)
