We know that teachers and families working together as a team is the best way to ensure each student is growing and learning! 

The MOST IMPORTANT homework that can be done is making sure your child reads on their own for 20 minutes a day. We send home guided reading books, they get to bring home library books each week, and they can read material from home. In Second grade our comprehension is shifting and the best part of their reading each day is taking time to talk to your child in depth about what they read!

We are also working on weekly spelling words this year. We  send home a paper copy of words each Tuesday and you can find the words on the newsletter each week.  Look below for the monthly spelling Menus for reference. 

Students may also practice their 2nd Grade Snap Words (Sight Words).
