CHAMPS & TEKS

CHAMPS

In the Rivera Music Room we follow the school-wide CHAMPS system. This provides students with knowledge of what is expected of their behavior and is mutually agreed upon. A typical CHAMPS chart in the music room looks like the following:

Teacher-Led Instruction | Group Work

C (Conversation) - level 0; level 2

H (Help) - Raise your hand; ask 3 before me

A (Activity) -  see the agenda (singing games, instruments, melodic & rhythmic pattern work)

M (Movement) - safely with respect

P (Participation) - encourage, include, and listen to all

S (Success) -
