Keli started dancing at age three in Irving, TX and continued studio dancing most of her childhood. She attended Colleyville Heritage High School where she was a member of the Premier Panteras Drill Team and served as their Historian her senior year. She then traveled to Denton, Texas to begin her college education as a dance Major. While there, she was able to participate in many performances as a performer and choreographer. Keli was awarded a Bachelor's Degree of Dance in May of 2007. After gradation, she taught for three years in dance studios and young childcare. This will be her 17th year teaching Dance at RHS, and her 13th year as Director of the Strutters. She was the Assistant Director for the Strutters her first four years at Ryan. Keli looks forward to a long career dancing, choreographing and teaching.
Director’s Mission Statement:
I promise to work diligently to aid the Strutters in developing positive and selfless relationships with one another through mentoring and leading by example, establishing discipline to achieve goals through weekly accountability and charting of progress, developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through conditioning and stretching, and continually improving dance ability through practices, performances, contests, and Spring Show.
Jasmine Jaramillo

Jasmine Jaramillo is originally from Denton, TX and grew up training at Denton Dance Conservatory with Lisa Racina-Torre. Jasmine has been a dance educator for over 20 years. Mrs. Jaramillo holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in History with a dance minor and a Master of Arts degree in Dance History from Texas Woman's University. Mrs. Jaramillo is currently in the first cohort for the Masters of Fine Arts in Dance at Texas A&M University. Mrs. Jaramillo founded the CholoRock Dance Collective in 2016 and serves as the co-artistic director alongside Jose Zamora. The collective is a division of CholoRock Dance Theatre which was founded by Jose Zamora-MFA, in 2011 at Texas Woman's University. The collective celebrates Hispanic and Tejano heritage through contemporary movement. In 2021, Jasmine founded the Jaramillo Dance Group, focusing on movement-performance art from the female perspective. Mrs. Jaramillo’s choreography has been presented at the 254 Dance Festival, Summerfest at Lamar University, the Youngtanzomer Tour in Austria, Texas Woman’s University Alumni Dance Concert, South Texas College Department of Dance and Theatre Spring Concert, National High School Dance Festival and others. For the past 5 years, Mrs. Jaramillo was part of the dance faculty at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts in Fort Worth, TX. For the 2024-2025 academic year, Mrs. Jaramillo served as the Dance Department Chair at FWAFA and was a runner up for the Bruce Wood Dance Excellence Award for Educators Scholarship presented by the Fort Worth Dance Festival. Mrs. Jaramillo is looking forward to joining Denton ISD for the 2025-2026 school year!
