There will be 6 Thematic Units over the year. Similar to the Level one plan. Level 2 Curriculum is currently under development.
Students deepen their understanding of identity by describing themselves in greater detail—physically, in terms of personality, and through their interests—while also exploring how others see them. They reflect on what they value and consider who they are and who they want to become. Through richer conversations and cultural comparisons, students strengthen their language skills and gain a broader perspective on themselves and their place in a global community.
Community is shaped by the many ways people contribute to family life, school involvement, and the broader world around them. From daily responsibilities at home to participation in clubs, jobs, and social causes, people play important roles that reflect both personal identity and collective responsibility. Language serves as a bridge for expressing these roles, building connections, and engaging with others. Exploring how people belong, contribute, and take action reveals both shared values and diverse cultural perspectives on what it means to be part of a community.
