Therapists help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.

Denton ISD Family Center
The Denton ISD Family Center provides free counseling services in English and Spanish. Counseling is provided by Licensed Mental Health Professionals, Certified School Counselors, and Master Level Interns.

Provides ten FREE counseling sessions, 10 free parent skill classes/groups, 6 free life skills groups. Available to families of youths 0 -18. Problems dealt with include: runaway, truancy, family conflict, child misbehavior. Payments accepted: sliding scale, insurance, and self-pay; some services free

Services offered include play therapy for children 3 – 12, interdisciplinary assessment, counseling for children, teens, adults, family counseling, and parent education classes. Sliding scale fee available.
Open to anyone needing services. Family Services provides individual, marital, family, and play therapy. Parenting and pre-marital education classes for a nominal fee. Fees for counseling are charged on an income-based sliding scale.

Counseling with individuals, couples, families. Problems dealt with include child misbehavior, truancy, school failure, runaways. Play Therapy is also available for children 3 – 12. Center is closed for in-person sessions due to Covid, but they are providing telehealth services.
The clinic charges $15 for the initial intake.
The clinic runs on a sliding scale. This means that fees are based on income and family size. They do not accept insurance.

Lotus Counseling & Psychological Services, a group practice providing a wide array of trauma informed services.
While all of their counselors are well trained in treating trauma, they additionally hold expertise in many different areas to fit the many issues that might bring an individual or family to counseling.
You do not need to be a survivor of trauma to receive services at Lotus Counseling & Psychological Services.
