About Ms. Cole

Hello!

My name is Erica Cole and I am so excited to be the theater director here at Crownover Middle School!

I feel so lucky to get the opportunity to share one of my greatest loves with the awesome students at Crownover. This will be my 16th year to teach theater and my 30th year to create and perform.

I grew up in Denton, and was a member of the first graduating class of Ryan High School. I am beyond thrilled to get to teach in my home town! I obtained my BA and MA in Theatre from Texas Woman's University. I love learning new things that help me to become a better teacher and performer. I believe that theatre and all of the arts are an instrumental tool to helping our students work cooperatively, think critically and creatively and teaches them the importance of hard work and responsibility.

My husband Dr. Jeff Whitt, is a faculty at Texas A&M Commerce where he does field work with California Quail. I have a son Jake who is 24 and a sweet and sassy daughter Penelope who is 6.

I just know we are going to have a GRRRRREAT year!
