It is the DISD policy that all students are responsible for any materials and equipment checked out from the library. If a student fails to return an item, then he/she is responsible for the replacement cost of the item.
Students may check-out four (4) books for two (2) weeks at a time.
If the books are not returned by the due date, the books become overdue.
A weekly overdue notice is sent to the student's email.
In an ongoing effort to make Crownover MS as safe as possible for our students, ID cards play an important role. Therefore, as part of the dress code, every student at Crownover is required to wear an ID card, on a Crownover lanyard, around the neck, so that the card is visible at all times.
Some things to remember:
1. ID cards are part of each student's required dress code;
2. ID cards may be purchased before school until 8:15 AM and after school until 4:00 PM only;
3. No ID cards will be printed during the school day;
4. Students must present an ID card to check out books.
We appreciate all of our students' cooperation by wearing their ID cards.
The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is a contract between Crownover students / parents and the school. By signing the AUP, a student acknowleges that he/she understands all the school rules - dress code, behavior code, and computer rules - and agrees to follow all policies. The student understands that should he/she choose to violate the AUP, then consequences will follow. All students are trained for computer use, and the AUP is fully explained before a computer password is assigned.
In regards to computer use, the student agrees to:
1. use the school computers for school related / teacher assigned work only;
2. use only his/her own password;
3. never share his/her password with others;
4. care for and maintain the school hardware;
5. never download any software from the Internet, or home, onto school computers;
6. never check, receive, or send personal e-mail from school computers;
7. never change any settings on school computers.
Dress Code and Behavior Code policies can be found in the Student Code of Conduct Handbook on the DISD webpage under the For Parent tab.
If you have any questions regarding the AUP agreement, please feel free to contact Crownover's school administrators.
