Instrument Rental

Oboe rentals are done through Crownover at the start of the school year and cost $125 for the entire year.  Rental fees for District-owned instruments are due in early October.  

Required Supplies

Please purchase the following required supplies prior to the start of the school year. These supplies are not available for rental.  You may purchase these supplies by clicking this link: Bocal Majority Beginner Kit

• 3 Handcrafted Reeds

• Silk swab

• Cork grease

• Reed case

• Reed soaking cup

• Wire music stand

• Tuner/metronome with clip (MT60PLA)

• Essential Elements 2000 book 1 for Oboe 

Other Information

• Private instruction is highly recommended for all oboe students. Our private oboe instructor will be giving lessons during the regular school year, but if you would like to get a head start during the summer, you may contact Ms. Oh at hyungjuoh21@gmail.com and rent an oboe over the summer from Crownover for private lessons.

• The Bocal Majority Summer Camp is highly recommended for beginning band oboe students. Study with professionals who will teach you the basics of playing your instrument!
