Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate intervention for children between the ages 3-10 years old. Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling, but they can often show us through play. Play therapy uses a child’s natural language of play to help them express emotions, work through challenges, and develop healthy ways of coping.
In a safe, supportive environment, children can explore their thoughts and feelings, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and practice new skills. Through play, children are given the space to be understood, supported, and empowered to grow.
