Hello Nelson Lions!

My name is Erika Timmons. I look forward to another fabulous school year! L.A. Nelson Elementary has an outstanding staff who is dedicated to giving students top of the line education. Our mission is to "grow as successful learners and make a positive difference in the world." So you might want to know a little more about myself.

I received my Bachelor's Degree at Texas Tech University and followed that by obtaining my Master's Degree from the University of North Texas. I have been honored to work in Denton ISD for over 15 years. I previously taught kindergarten at Lee Elementary where I received the Teacher of the Year award through Region XI. I also served as the school counselor at Lee and Ginnings Elementary. I followed this with my roles at Nelson Elementary as a school administrator.

My family life is awesome! I have a wonderful supportive husband, whom you might see volunteering around the school. We have 4 wonderful sons! Our family enjoys sports and spending time with loved ones.
